Firefighters battle 2 massive wildfires in Florida panhandle

Florida firefighters continue to battle two massive wildfires encompassing nearly 10000 acres combined. The larger Bertha Swamp Road fire has burned almost 9000 acres and forced the evacuation of over 1100 homes in Bay County Florida, while the 800-acre Adkins Avenue fire has destroyed two structures and damaged another 12 homes as of late Friday.

National average price for a gallon of gas soars past 4 dollars for the first time since 2008

According to AAA the national average for a gallon of gas hit $4.009 on Sunday, prices that have not been seen since 2008 or for nearly a quarter of a century. Crude oil supply fears stemming from the continued Russian aggression in Ukraine have caused prices to skyrocket in the last two weeks, rising an average of 57 cents per gallon nationally.
